Avela Fongoqa is a South African–born performer based in Los Angeles. She is thrilled to be stepping back onto Skid Row, this time as Ronnette, after recently appearing as Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors with Altadena Music Theatre. An AMDA graduate, Avela has performed at venues including Disneyland and Vitello’s and has worked alongside multiple Grammy-nominated artists. Outside of theatre, she is the creator and host of the faith-based podcast In the Beginning: A Bible Story for the Girlies, which has reached thousands of listeners around the world.
